A Message From Our Superintendent

Autumn Mattson & Family
Autumn Mattson, Superintendent

As we embark on a new school year, I am excited to welcome everyone back to our campus. Throughout the summer, our dedicated staff worked tirelessly to enhance our campus, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Prior to our students arriving, our staff also engaged in two days of enriching professional development, preparing themselves for the journey of learning we have planned. The parent and student turnout at the open house reflected the strong sense of community that defines our school.

The start of a school year is a special time for me, as it symbolizes a fresh beginning for all. It presents an opportunity to surpass previous achievements, embrace new ideas, come together, strengthen bonds, and lay a solid foundation for a successful year ahead.

We are eager to embark on this journey with our students, staff, and families, united in our commitment to grow as a World Changer! Your presence and active participation are integral to our success. We deeply appreciate your choice of CTA as your educational partner and are honored to have you as part of our CTA family.

Together, we have the power to change the world through education, collaboration, and shared values. I look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. Thank you for your continued support and trust in CTA.

Professional Learning with Staff

Our Elementary staff spent time together before school, growing their professional relationships and collaborative goals, all centered around the “CTA Student Experience.”  They worked diligently to review academic curriculum, as well as culture building norms and our Character Education instruction so that they were prepared to set the tone on day 1 for our Chargers.  Your children have an amazing and dedicated team of teachers ready and eager to serve their education and growth!

First Week Back with Students

Students participated in a number of activities for team building and getting to know each other.  By week 2, I was already seeing smiles from our newest CTA students who said they felt welcomed and were making new friends! In addition to building relationships and getting to know one another, our team is working diligently at learning routines & procedures to set everyone up for success as we start the year.

I have a feeling that it is going to be a WONDERFUL school year!  We are Chargers; We Change the World!

To The Families, Students, and Staff of the CTA Secondary Schools,

What an amazing beginning to the school year!  We had so many great things happening to start the year it is hard to recount them all.  We have many new students who were being welcomed by our returning students, we have a few new staff members who are also being made very comfortable by the actions of the CTA community, and we have many students who are showing incredible leadership skills both in the classroom as well as in the hallways.

Our Fall Sports are underway, both our Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball teams are very competitive and showing improvement every single day.  We have many other clubs and activities that are beginning soon, it is truly a great time to be a Charger.  Our teaching staff is so excited to be back and working with our students again.  There is a genuine air of excitement with everyone, it is an amazing thing to be a part of.

In talking with many of our students, they share various points of excitement regarding the start of the new school year.  Everything from making new friends to reconnecting with old friends to finally having the opportunity to take a certain class or participate in one of the many programs we offer, everyone is looking forward to something, that is very special.

Some things to look forward to as we move into September include the Homecoming games for both Soccer and Volleyball on Friday, September 13th and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 14th.  Please check our website and our social media posts to stay as up to date as possible with all of our events.  This is a great resource to see if there is a change in anything as well.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, I have met many of you but look forward to meeting everyone as we move through the year.  My email is:  bzuver@ctachargers.org if you ever have a question or want to schedule a visit.  We are fortunate to work in a special place, our students are fortunate to be here and we are thankful to have all of them here with us!

Thank you for all of your support, we all want the best for all of our students, see you soon.

Go Chargers!
