A Message from Mrs. Bialkowski
December was a festive and celebratory month in the Elementary building. Students studied Holidays around the world, celebrated various traditions, and even had a visit from Santa! December’s character trait was Responsibility and the 3rd grade class performed skits at assembly modeling how to be a responsible Charger by taking care of winter gear, completing homework and being prepared for math work; it was great!
As we begin the New Year, January’s focus is all about being Growth-Minded. Students have spent the first few weeks in January setting goals and intentions for 2nd semester, while also starting winter testing. We also hosted our first ever after school elementary art club! Parent volunteer, Cassie Bryant, along with Mrs. Rachael Rohne hosted several K-5 students and we are so excited to be able to offer this new club throughout the rest of this school year.
It’s going to be a great semester of working hard, setting and achieving goals, and learning how to be World Changers! Happy 2025!
December Holiday Activities
December and January were amazing months at CTA! The holiday spirit was on full display in December with many of our students and staff participating in Holiday Spirit Week. There were so many creative outfits, it was a blast. Our music program put on an amazing Holiday Concert (after a reschedule or two), it was more than worth the wait. The students were amazing and the auditorium was packed with parents and families.
Both the High School and Middle School students did a great job on their exams. It was the first time that many of them had to prepare for these and they all seemed to go quite well. Thanks to our teachers for the help in preparing them for the big days.
January was an interesting month-we jumped right back into things with great energy. Students and staff were really glad to be back. Our Seniors are preparing for their Senior Projects, this is something that is done with each and every Senior. They find something they have a passion about and then have to come up with an essential question and then research and prepare some very real world work around it that culminates with a final project they will be presenting to the entire school at the end of the year. The ideas were incredible, we cannot wait to see the final results.
We had a few weather days that make things interesting but everyone knows that safety is the primary priority.
The Basketball teams at our Middle School and High School (both Boys and Girls) are having competitive seasons and are getting ready to wrap up their seasons soon. The Boys and Girls Varsity teams competed against Staff and Alumni in late January and a great time was had by all. It was fun to see so many Chargers working hard and competing against one another in a positive way.
It is going to be a fast second semester, if it finishes like it began, it is going to be a great rest of the year.
Go Chargers!
