A Message from the Principal, Mrs. Bialkowski
It’s March! One of my favorite months of the year! Spring is beginning to blossom, students and teachers are finding more ways to spend time in the fresh, warm weather and we celebrate all things READING! As we launch into Spring Break, I would like to wish everyone a restful and fun week, whether you are going on an adventure, or staying home to rest and relax. We look forward to coming back in April and finishing this year STRONG!
Camp Read A-Lot
We kicked off March with our spring curriculum night: Camp Read-A-Lot! We invited families to explore each of our classrooms and participate in a variety of reading activities. The goal was dual purpose: bring families together to build on our family community, but also share and showcase different ways to have fun with reading not only at school, but home as well! It was a great evening for everyone.
#MarchIsReadingMonth
We continued to celebrate reading, with a camping theme, all month long. Our annual all building D.E.A.R. time was a huge success. We only read for 30 minutes, but the hallways were full of kindergarten through fifth graders STILL reading quietly well after the 30 minute mark. I was so proud of our students and teachers for embracing a love of reading.
A Message from the Principal, Mr. Zuver
It is hard to believe that Spring Break is next week, there have been so many great things happening at both our Middle School and our High School.
At our Middle School, students were treated to a great morning field trip last week. Our girls went to Van Andel Arena and got to learn about leadership from the players and coaches of the Grand Rapids Rise professional Volleyball team. It was an amazing experience for all of them. Our boys got to have a morning of fun and attended a movie at an area theater which included popcorn and a drink to begin the day. Our Middle School also held its first ever dance this past month. The turnout was great and everyone had a blast.
At CTA High School our Seniors are working hard on their Senior Projects. The ideas and creativity are inspiring. Our Girls Soccer team has begun practice, everyone is looking forward to having a rewarding season.
Both buildings have been celebrating March is Reading Month with various competitions as well as fun events. The door decorating contests are in full swing with this year’s theme being March Madness, lots of creativity is on display!
As we head into the home stretch of the school year we have Spring Break coming soon and then will be having our SAT and State Testing at the High School when we return. Best of luck to everyone with that.
